Hemp Nutritional Profile

raw shelled hemp seeds

Hemp is a highly dense source of nutrition, containing all essential amino acids and essential fatty acids.  The whole seed is rich in protein (30%), dietary fiber, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, thiamin, zinc, iron, folate, vitamin B6, riboflavin, and calcium.

Each plant produces seeds which can be pressed into oil, flour, protein powder, beer, coffee, hummus, cheese, milk, and ice cream.  Hemp seed oil has a nutty flavor and can be used to make salad dressing, butter, mayo, and sauces.
